The Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships 2022 of the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing will participate jointly with the Nelo Summer Challenge, an event known to be the best surfski event in the world, which is held every year for all surfski and outrigger canoe rowers.
The 2022 ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships will occur along with the Nelo Summer Challenge.
Between the 6th and the 8th of October, the world’s best surfski competition will connect Viana do Castelo to Ofir Beach in Esposende in a 19.5km course.
The competition will start in Viana do Castelo in the city centre and finish in Ofir Beach in front of Hotel Axis. It will take place on the day with the best downwind conditions.
Who can participate?
Juniors: 15 – 18 years
Sub23: 15 – 23 years
Masters: From 35 years of age on and belonging to a subclass of each 5-year period. (Example: 35-39)
NOTE: All competitors will be automatically registered for the open class.
Permitted boats: SS1, SS2, OC1
Who can participate:
